Day 1
Arrival in Cape Town
Cape Town
Land at Cape Town International, check into your hotel and meet your Epic crew for a welcome dinner and full expedition briefing. Rest up — tomorrow the adventure begins.
Day 2
Meet Your Hilux & North to the Cederberg
Cape Town → Cederberg
Collect your fully-rigged Toyota Hilux, run through a 4x4 orientation, then strike out north into the dramatic Cederberg mountains for your first night under the stars.
Day 3
Cederberg to the Orange River
Cederberg → Orange River
Descend the escarpment toward the mighty Orange River, the natural border with Namibia. Riverside camp, sundowners and a relaxed float on the water.
Day 4
Into Namibia — Fish River Canyon
Orange River → Fish River Canyon
Clear the border and enter Namibia. Drive to Fish River Canyon, the second-largest canyon on earth, for jaw-dropping viewpoints at golden hour.
Day 5
The Namib Beckons
Fish River → Sesriem
A long, beautiful desert drive north to Sesriem, gateway to the towering red dunes of the Namib — the oldest desert in the world.
Day 6
Sossusvlei & Deadvlei
Sossusvlei
Dawn climb up Dune 45, then walk into the surreal white clay pan of Deadvlei with its 900-year-old camel-thorn skeletons against the rust-red dunes.
Day 7
Desert to the Atlantic
Sesriem → Swakopmund
Cross the moon-like gravel plains to the cool Atlantic coast and the German-colonial town of Swakopmund — a welcome night of creature comforts.
Day 8
Swakopmund Adventure Day
Swakopmund
A free day on the Skeleton Coast. Optional quad biking, sandboarding, scenic flights over the dunes, or simply rest and resupply before heading inland.
Day 9
Spitzkoppe & the Inselbergs
Swakopmund → Spitzkoppe
Head inland to the iconic granite peaks of Spitzkoppe, the "Matterhorn of Namibia". Ancient rock art, natural arches and one of the finest wild camps on the continent.
Day 10
North to Etosha
Spitzkoppe → Etosha
Drive north to the legendary Etosha National Park and set up near a floodlit waterhole where elephant, rhino and lion come to drink after dark.
Day 11
Etosha Game Drives
Etosha National Park
A full day self-driving the waterholes of Etosha around its vast white salt pan — elephant herds, giraffe, zebra, springbok and big cats against a shimmering horizon.
Day 12
Caprivi & the Botswana Border
Etosha → Chobe (Botswana)
Track east along the lush Caprivi corridor, cross into Botswana at Ngoma and arrive on the banks of the Chobe River — Africa’s elephant capital.
Day 13
Chobe National Park
Chobe National Park
Morning game drive among Chobe’s famous elephant herds, then a sunset boat cruise on the river surrounded by hippo, buffalo and birdlife.
Day 14
Savuti & the Wild Heart
Chobe → Savuti
Venture into the remote Savuti region, a predator stronghold of deep sand tracks, big skies and one last unforgettable night in the Botswana bush.
Day 15
Journey’s End at Kasane
Savuti → Kasane
A final morning game drive before reaching Kasane for your departure flight. Three countries, 2,500+ kilometres, one unforgettable expedition. One life — you lived it.
