Payment & Booking Security
You're booking an expedition thousands of kilometres away — we make the money side clear, simple and safe. No surprise fees, no card details on our site.
How you pay
We don't process card payments online. You pay by bank transfer (EFT) or international wire, which keeps fees low and your card details private.
- South African guests: standard EFT to our FNB account.
- International guests: we provide Wise account details in USD, GBP or EUR so you pay locally with no wire fees.
When you book, we email your reference and banking details. Use your booking reference (e.g. 4X4-2026-00042) so we can match your payment, then upload proof on your booking page.
Deposit & balance
- 30% deposit confirms your booking, paid within 72 hours of reserving.
- Balance is due 60 days before departure.
- Bookings made inside 60 days of departure require full payment to confirm.
Cancellation & refunds
- Full refund of your deposit if you cancel more than 60 days out.
- 50% refund for cancellations 30–60 days before departure.
- No refund inside 30 days of departure.
We strongly recommend comprehensive travel insurance for all guests.
Your protection
- SATSA membership and bonding (in progress) — financial protection for your advance payments, the SA equivalent of the UK's ATOL scheme.
- Secure HTTPS across the whole site.
- A real, registered Cape Town business with a named team you can call.
- Every payment matched to your booking reference and confirmed in writing.
